NHBC is an off shoot of New Estate Baptist church, Surulere ..

which started as a home fellowship group and later on grew to become a preaching station on January 7, 1996. The church had its first worship service at the St. Finbars College, Yaba and thereafter proceeded to the home of Dcn. & Dr (Mrs.) Bolaji Phillips under the leadership of Dcn. Iyiola Ikumapayi.
